I come from a publishing background, having worked in editorial and production at trade and academic publishers for 11 years. In 2008 I moved to Reading to study book design at the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, University of Reading. Since 2011 I have been working as a freelance editor and designer.
I particularly enjoy working collaboratively with local organisations, publishers and individuals, providing a tailored, responsive service at a fair price.
I have a keen personal interest in typography and letterpress and for several years ran introductions to the letterpress workshop and demonstrations of replicas of historic presses for groups of students at the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication. I also tutored second-year undergraduates on the editorial design module of the BA Graphic Communication and, as part of the same course, run annual introductions to bookbinding.
Since 2005 I have been a member of the British Printing Society.
